Single-spin asymmetry of inclusive $\pi^0$ production in the
reaction $p + \pdup \rar \pi^0 + X$ at $x_F \approx0$ is
presented. 70~GeV proton beam was extracted from the accelerator
main ring with the use of a bent crystal.
The asymmetry measured by two independent electromagnetic calorimeters
equals to zero within the error bars for transverse momenta in a
range of $1.0
