Characteristics of construction elements and investigation results of a prototype of the neutron detector based in IHEP manufactured the boron containing a molded scintillator SC-331 are presented. The usage of boron containing plastic scintillator provided the neutron detector with a good working ability in high loading conditions and relatively low level regested background events. The constructed detector can be used for neutron fluxes measurements in extensive air showers.
