The designs and the technologies of accelerating structures of the proton linear accelerator of Alvaretz type and those of the proton accelerator with Radio Frequency Quadrupole (RFQ) focusing are described and compared. A brief description of the accelerating structures of linear accelerators employed at IHEP is presented. Certain problems of design and technologies of the accelerating units are considered. Questions concerning de-signing and technology of the RFQ-focusing accelerating structure are discussed. The necessity of solving the arising problems of design and technology for a new generation RFQ-accelerators is substantiated.
