The paper reports on outcomes of research efforts sustained in 2005 towards developing a stochastic (noise) slow extraction system of beam from the U70 proton synchrotron of IHEP. Their goal was to develop and test a full-function prototype of the stochastic slow extraction system fit for trial operation during the machine runs, and capable of producing lengthy flat-topped and smooth spills. Design approaches to a feedback loop affecting the waiting beam stack (which is neither linear nor time-invariant object) are discussed. A circuit model of the beam being extracted is proposed and studied. Dedicated electronics purpose-built for beam experiments is specified. Results of beam observations during 2005 machine run of the U70 are presented. These fully confirm serviceability of the noise extraction system prototype in question
