The proton computed tomography (PCT) is considered as an essential method for diagnostics and treatment planning in cancer ion/proton therapy. In the first work the formulation of the proton tomography problem as well as the solution methods are considered. The convergence rates as well as achievable resolutions are considered for different algorithms on the basis of the detailed Monte-Carlo with the developed tomography and image processing software.
