Investigation of Radiation Hardness of Lead Tungstate Crystals at Long Time of Irradiation

The changes of lead tungstate crystal transparency during the process of continuous exposure over about 1.200 hours in the field of gamma radionuclide 60Co source have been investigated. A crystal temperature was maintained at the level of -150С at a radiation dose rate of 0.1 Gy/h. A recovery process of the crystal transparency in the temperature range from -15 to +380С was studied just after irradiation. The work was carried out in the framework of the PANDA experiment preparation within the FAIR project in Germany.
