Abstracts
Positive results have been obtained with an apparatus designed to record electron-proton coincidences. The observations are consistent with neutrons in free flight transforming into protons, and electrons of max. energy less than 0.9 MeV. The half life has not yet been evaluated accurately but probably lies between 10 and 30 minutes. (Science Abstracts, 1950, 6745. C. O. Baines.).
