The 433 tons liquid argon detector, used as an active target for tagged $\nu_{\mu}$- and $\nu_e$-beams at the 70 GeV PS of Serpukhov, is described. High percentage of active material, combined with fine transversal and longitudinal segmentation, ensures very good energy, space and angle resolutions and a detailed description of neutrino interactions. Furthermore fast trigger on neutrino-like events allows, through the synchronous read-out of the information from the tagging station detectors, the identification of the interacting neutrino.
