An analysis of some opportunities to create radiation resistant heterogeneous EM-calorimeters with an energy resolution of about sigma / E $\simeq4\div5\%/\sqrt{E}$ is given in this paper. Some investigation results of scintillation and radiation characteristics for thin molded plates and new heavy scintillators based on the polystyrene and containing metalloorganic additives are presented. The radiation resistance of thin molded scintillator plates of about 1.1 mm thick containing 2% pTP + 0.05% POPOP has reached a level of about 1.5$\div$2. Mrad.
