A wide research program in the study of rare kaon decays in the experiments at IHEP, Fermilab and BNL accelerators is described in this paper. The main trends in these experiments are the investigation of low-enegy hadronic process, the seacrh for new types of weak interactions and CP-violation processes, the study of very rare $K \rightarrow \pi \nu \bar \nu$ FCNC decays. The connection of this research program with the Standard Model and the New Physics is discussed.
