The investigation on natural radioactivity (NR) of construction materials, industrial waste and materials containing the waste was carried out for the Brjansk region. The NR measurements were made with a semicon-ductive gamma-spectrometry complex. It was shown that the group of local construction materials belong to the 1st radiation class and can be used in the building industry without any restriction.
