A radical increase in the efficiency of beam extraction from accelerator is reached by use of short, down to 1.8 mm, crystals bent a small angle $\sim$1~mrad, due to an increase in the average number of particle encounters with crystal. A record extraction efficiency of over 80\% at 70~GeV is experimentally achieved, in agreement with theory predictions. The feasibility of efficient work of a crystal at the injection energy, 1.3~GeV is also demonstrated.
