A Study of Possibilities of Recoil Deutrons Identification by Using Semiconductor Counters
Protvino, 2001.-p.19, figs.10, tables 1, refs.:13.

The possibilities are studied to identify recoil deutrons in fixed target experiments with the device consisting of a deuterium target the fiducial volume of which is housed in a thin-walled mylar tube, of 4 microstrip silicon detectors and the stack of 24 segmented silicon counters interleaved with a few passive absorber plates. The efficiencies of different methods of the separation of deutrons produced in a coherent process from protons and pions from inelastic $hd$-interactions are verified by MC simulation. The main features of recoil deutrons and protons interactions with $Si$ nuclei are also simulated and their contributions to the contamination of the sample of identified deutrons are shown.
