Monte-Carlo simulation and reconstruction of shower coordinates and shape distributions in a full-absorption gamma-spectrometer
Protvino, 2005. – p. 22, figs. 15, tables 1, refs.: 16.

A reconstruction method of coordinates and shape distributions of showers from gamma-quanta in a full absorption gamma-spectrometer in extra coordinate detectors absence is described. For this purpose GEANT simulation of electromagnetic showers generated by primary photons of small energies and in incident angle range up to $\pm$~250~mrad was carried out. X and Y-distributions of shower coordinates are shown to be a function of only one argument. A shower shape distribution presented in X or Y projection was found to depend on only one coordinate. Two shower shape reconstruction methods were suggested - using reconstructed coordinates of photons and shower coordinates of center of gravity. Features of simulation results were compared with experimental data.
