Characteristics of the pixel chamber with 40 mm cell and 120 mm gas gap were studied in the particle beams of the IHEP accelerator. Medium space resolution averaged over the cell size appeared to be 0.9 mm at intensity up to 106 pps. It became 1.1 mm at 5 ·106 pps. Chamber efficiency is equal to ~90% at intensity 106 pps and drops down to 75% at 5 ·106 pps.
