The architecture and principle of operation of the timing unit (module LE-90M) is described. The module has been designed for the synchronization between U-70 accelerator cycles and data acquisition systems of experimental setups at IHEP. All settings may be specified manually via front-panel or by program. The module is implemented using the Altera FPGA technology.
