Progress in the time of VES facility data acquisition system (DAQ) and its recent upgrade using USB2.0 bus are described. The preprint contains brief description of AC-USB module which was developed to connect autonomous controllers of the DAQ subsystems with USB bus, and overview of software of the upgraded DAQ. Some characteristics of the new DAQ (such as readout speed, reliability etc) are presented.
