Phase Structure of the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio Model in the Non-Simply Connected Spacetime with Account for Chemical Potential
Protvino, 1997. - p. 29, figs. 16, refs.: 19.

Phase structure of the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model in $R^3 \times S^1$ spacetime (the space coordinate is compactified) and in the presence of a chemical potential has been investigated. A phase portrait of the model has been obtained in the case with periodic boundary conditions. It was shown that at least three different types of ground states might exist in the model. Two of them are the states with spontaneously broken chiral invariance and the latter corresponds to the massless chirally symmetric phase of the theory. Phase transitions of the first as well, as the second orders are proved to exist in the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model. Two tricritical points are found to exist on the phase portrait of the model.
