Ànalysis of the beam-control system influence over quadrurole oscillations in the beam in the IHEP PS is given. If the system is not sensitive to bunch shape it suppresses quadrupole oscillations in the beam. The decrements calculated for that case are rather small especially if the beam is above transition energy. The contrary case of the system which is sensitive to quadrupole oscillations in the beam has been also investigated. The increments for the oscillations have been calculated and graphic data are presented. The limits of accuracy of the data obtained by the second moments method have been found in consequence of numerical integration of the phase equation.
