Slow extraction of an intense beam from IHEP U--70 PS is hampered by self-bunching of a coasting beam that is caused by the fundamental mode of idle RF cavities. The paper outlines a proposal to suppress this instability with a dedicated beam feedback circuit closed via an RF cavity. albedo personal dosimeter in real neutron fields is disccussed.
