The survey of the PS theory main prinsiples is given. In the first part the calculations of particls' motion characteristics in the ideal mashine and also the influence of magnetic field and accelerating voltage disturbances over the beam dynamics are contained. In the second part the behaviour of the high intensity beam with account of the electromagnetic self fields and fields caused by it in the surrounding equipment is analysed. Static effects such Coulomb frequency shifts as well dynamics ones --- proton beam instabilities are considered in detail.
