A Dedicated High-Speed Trigger Generation Processor for a Single Particle Decay Event Selection by Analyzing Signals from Scintillation Hodoscopes
Protvino, 2006. - p. 15, figs. 8, table 6, refs.: 7.

A dedicated high-speed trigger generation processor is described. The function of the processor is to select a single particle decay event on the decay base of an experimental setup OKA using signals from hodoscopes made of scintillation counters. The particle selection algorithm is based on the use of (dynamically) preprogrammed memory lookup tables. Trigger generation time is less than 150 ns. The processor unit includes a set of 64-channel register modules LE-76 and a decision-taking module LE-79, which are implemented using the ALTERA FPGA technology.
