Abstracts
Some processes due to free neutrinos which heretofore had not been considered are discussed. Especial attention is payied to those processes which in principle may help to solve the problem concerning the existence of two neutral lepton pairs (electron pair (νe and anti-νe) and muon pair (νμ and anti-νμ)).
To solve the fundamental question whether νμ and νe are identical particles, a method is proposed which in essence is analogous to the method employed for solving the problem of the distinguishability of the neutrino and antineutrino or Ko and anti-Ko mesons. In principle the problem can be solved if it is demonstrated experimentally that a anti-νμ beam is capable of inducing transitions which anti-νe particle can certainly induce (e.g. the anti-νμ p → n e+ reaction).
The experiment suggested above although difficult, should be feasible with accelerators capable of producing more intense beams than those produced by present day accelerators.
