Check of the Conserved Vector Current Hypothesis
Phys. Lett. 1 (1962) 138;

Motivation
The investigation of the pion β decay π+ → πo e+ νe makes it possible to check directly whether the conserved vector current hypothesis suggested by Gershtein and Zeldovich as earlier as 1955 is testifiable. This mode of decay predicted by Zeldovich is of great interest at present as far as checking one of the fundamental assumptions of the modern weak interaction theory is concerned.
