Report on Long-Lived Ko Mesons
Phys. Rev. 105 (1957) 1925;

Summary
The experiment previously reported (Lande et al., Phys. Rev. 103 (1956) 1901) which established the existence of a long-lived neutral V particle is being continued. In this report, we give evidence that

  1. strengthens the previous surmise that these are indeed K-mass particles with decay modes primarily into π e ν and π μ ν,
  2. establishes rather convincingly the existence of the π+ π πo mode (Cooper et al., Nuovo cimento 4 (1956) 1433)
  3. provides additional evidence for the particle mixture theory. (M. Gell-Mann and A. Pais, Phys. Rev. 97 (1955) 1387).
