Abstracts
The ratio of the neutral current to charged current cross sections has been measured for events with an energy of the hadron system greater than 1 GeV. These ratios are found to be Rν = 0.25 ± 0.04 for ν and R anti-ν = 0.56 ± 0.08 for anti-ν. Assuming the validity of scaling and a V and/or A type structure for the neutral current, the ratios have been corrected for the cut on the hadronic energy. Our results differ from the predictions of parity conserving
models by more than 3 standard deviations. Within the framework of the Weinberg model, sin2 θW is found to be 0.31 ± 0.06 from Rν and 0.33+0.05-0.08 from R anti-ν.
