Summary
By using a thin magnetic lens spectrometer in conjunction with an electrostatic field, the positive particle from the radioactive decay of the neutron has been identified as a proton.
The number of protons collected has been estimated to give a value for the half life of the neutron lying between 9 and 25 min. (Extracted from the introductory part of the paper.).
